Location: Zanzibar or Usa River, Tanzania (Requires frequent travel throughout Tanzania and Zanzibar)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Sales Manager to lead our sales initiatives in the off and on-grid market in Tanzania. This role is based in Usa River, Tanzania, and requires frequent travel across Tanzania and Zanzibar. The Sales Manager will play a critical role in expanding our presence in the off-grid sector, focusing on Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Responsibilities:
- Meeting and communicating with customers at various locations to understand their solar system needs and suggest suitable products.
- Scheduling and overseeing product demonstrations, providing accurate quotes, shipping charges, and tax-related information.
- Generating new leads and following up with potential customers regarding their requirements.
- Representing the company at public events, fairs, and promotional offers to enhance brand visibility.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of solar equipment and systems to offer the best solutions to customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Solar Sales Consultant or a similar role in the sales department, specifically with solar equipment and products.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
- Independent working capability with a customer-oriented approach.
