The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, preferably within the safari industry, and possess a deep understanding of the East African safari landscape. - Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share in the East African safari industry.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, travel agencies, and industry partners to generate leads and secure bookings.
- Provide expert guidance and personalized recommendations to clients, ensuring their safari experiences meet and exceed expectations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the East African safari landscape to remain competitive and adaptable.
- Coordinate closely with other departments, including operations and logistics, to ensure seamless execution of safari itineraries and exceptional customer service.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in sales management, preferably within the safari industry, with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve targets.
- Deep knowledge of East Africa, particularly Tanzania, and its wildlife, national parks, and safari destinations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed to accommodate client needs and operational requirements.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems.
