dnata Zanzibar are looking for enthusiastic with a detail oriented thought process  team members to join our GSE. ***Please note, this particular opportunity is open to Tanzanian Nationals only***

Successful candidates will carry out, as part of a team, as directed by the GSE Manager, all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repair on all equipment /vehicles and plant maintained by various Technical Services Workshops to ensure functional reliability to meet the 24 hour requirements of the operations.

Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance to GSE including: a variety of vehicles and engine driven equipment, such as: ground power units, air conditioning carts, tow tractors, forklifts, and belt loaders etc.
  • Mechanical repairs to other equipment such as tow bars, work stands, hydraulic power units and jacks.
  • Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting of defects.
  • Proper handling of all controlled substances and cleanliness of GSE work area and proper care of tools
  • Perform duties in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulation while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.
  • Continuously suggest ideas or technical ways to reduce maintenance costs and improve performance & safety of equipment.
  • Ensure that all work-related activities carried out during the shift are recorded in the log book/work order to help planning staff log the details of work done in the Maintenance Management System.
  • Inform the GSE Manager of any spare parts & tools that are needed to ensure timely completion of any maintenance works.
  • Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment components.
  • Prepare and complete electronic work orders.
  • Maintain company equipment; to be kept in clean, orderly, and functioning condition.
  • Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI’s).
  • Read and understand Manufacturer provided literature.
  • Communicate with associates and management effectively regarding equipment conditions, issues, and recommendations.
  • Routinely required to work under inclement weather conditions.
  • Able to meet the Station’s attendance standards.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned with the GSE Manager
