As Tree Supervisor, you will oversee the delivery of One Acre Fund’s Tree program across designated sites while driving impact, financial sustainability and customer service through the sites that they manage. A Tree Supervisor will manage 11-25 sites.

Key Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Tree Coordinator you will:

  • Overseeing seedling cultivation through training development and execution, supervise nursery construction, distribute nursery input and manage the whole seedling production process
  • Collect and report data while ensuring quality of data collected
  • Achieves tree adoption goals by overseeing the execution of marketing, enrollment and distribution strategies in your sites, including seedlings produced by external vendors, by out growers and One Acre Fund
  • Manage the performance of your team using the department performance management tracker and creating Performance Development Plans for your team, by establishing clear performance metrics and evaluating your team with the support of your manager

Top Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in agriculture, forestry, statistics, data management, community development or any related field
  • Experience in managing people/team
  • Technological proficiency (computers, email, tablets)
  • Experienced in data collection with basic knowledge in data analysis and interpretation and quality control
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agricultural, Tree, or community development
  • Business proficient in English and Kiswahili
