Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Export Coordination
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of export shipments from booking confirmation to delivery at the destination.
  • Liaise with shipping lines to confirm space availability, negotiate rates and arrange for the shipment of goods.
  • Documentation Management
  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy of all export documentation, including bill of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists and export permits.
  • Verify that all documents comply with customer requirements. 
  • Customs Requirements
  • Work closely with customs brokers to ensure all customs clearance processes are properly handled,
  • Monitor compliance with export regulations and provide support for any audits or inspections.
  • Client Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their export shipment, providing updates and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Collaborate with operation team to coordinate shipping schedules aligned with customer needs.
  • Logistics Coordination
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and provide status updates to clients as needed.
  • Problem Solving
  • Address and resolve any issues related to shipping delays, documentation discrepancies or customs clearance challenges.
  • Proactively identify potential shipping disruptions and implement solutions.
  • Regulatory Knowledge
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations and best practices related to export shipping and documentation.
  • Participate in training and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in international shipping
  • Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of shipping activities and provide regular updates to management regarding export operations.
  • Share daily shipping line reports to the export team group and management at the end of working day. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in shipping, export documentation or logistics within a clearing and forwarding company.
  • Experience in roles related to customer service or operations within a shipping company can be beneficial
