Service Manager – Crashing & Screening
Job Purpose Statement:
To promote and sell Sandvik services to current and prospective customers and to manage technical services provided by staff operating throughout Tanzania in order to ensure profitability, quality and customer directed services.
Job Description
- Continue to manage SRP Service and Contracts to ensure all paperwork are completed so that invoices are paid by the clients without delay.
- Meet Budgeted monthly Customer Service Sales.
- Meet all Budgeted Financial targets for the Customer Service department.
- Meet all other Targets as set by the Segment Customer Service Managers and PLM’s
- Assist Sandvik Mining & Construction Central Africa Management to meet Net Working Capital targets
- Monitor the Customer Service requirements in Tanzania and other new areas.
- Manage the Maintenance Contracts for Mining.
- Implement any new Maintenance contracts on time.
- Monitor and avoid Contract Creep on crashing and screening.
- Ensure that MAXIMO Planning and Reporting system at all Contracts is used more for management and not just information gathering.
- Ensure proper people’s management, coaching and mentoring are fairly done.
- Foster continued good relations with all clients to ensure ongoing business opportunities are forthcoming.
- Develop training modules as required to address customer needs, and market demands.
- Overseeing and managing technical training in accordance with the annual training schedule for both internal and external customers.
- Complete all work required for training attended within the period under review.
- Drive the Sandvik “Zero Harm” and “Developing a Culture of Consequence” programs.
- Complies with Sandvik Mining SHEQ policies and applicable government, customer, or industry regulations or requirements.
- Ensures that all activities are carried out within Sandvik Values and Code of Conduct.
Formal Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related qualifications from recognized institution
Tertiary Qualification:
- Diploma Certificates with (5) years’ experience, preferably in Mining – clashing & screening, technical and sales environment or Craft Certificate with (10) years’ experience in Surface/UG Mining, technical and sales environment.
Legal Certification:
- Silicosis
Experience: (Include No. of years and relevant field/area for each item)
- 3 years management experience in technical product field service support
