Sandvik Technician – Trainer
We currently have opportunities for qualified technicians to join our team as Underground Team as Technical Trainer based in Bulyanhulu & North Mara Gold Mine – Located in Tanzania.
The opportunity is well suited for those with strong customer-centric and technical support experience for Sandvik underground equipments. You will be a key member of an established team and drive the reliability and availability of the underground mining equipments and electrical components while exercising a zero-harm safety culture.
The opportunity will see you :
- Maintain a competitive training product according to strategy and roadmap.
- Ensure market prices are aligned with global pricing strategy.
- Identify key market trends and impact on product/technology requirements and product roadmap.
- Ensure training needs are prioritized and synchronized with service and supply offerings, to secure best performance of equipment in relation to customer offer.
- Develop and deliver training courses on equipment (Operation, Maintenance, Service, Service inspection, installation & commissioning & faultfinding).
- Develop standard templates for practical training such as parts, equipment, consumables and ensure own training or Customer facility can deliver.
- Deliver and secure product safety training in relation to Operation, Maintenance, Service, Service inspection, installation & commissioning & faultfinding.
- Ensure training material on core equipment and service processes is standardized, up to date and based on the correct technical information.
- Ensures that training material is available for new product launches.
- Occasionally provide support for services such as service inspection and maintenance planning.
- Occasionally provide support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting of core equipment.
- Adhere to all Company Standard Operating Procedures including those in relation to Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Management compliance standards. Ensuring high priority and focus to achieve a Zero Harm Safety Performance.
Your Profile
To be successful in this position you must be trade qualified or have similar qualifications disciplined in mechanical, electrical and hydraulics systems.
You should have extensive experience in a similar role in the underground mining industry with a minimum of seven years’ experience maintaining Sandvik underground drill and electrical equipment. Importantly, you should have a strong understanding of underground drilling and electrical machine operating principles and practices combined with deep working knowledge of the Sandvik product range.
In addition to your expert technical knowledge, you should have good communication and customer service skills and the ability to build long term relationships.
