dnata Zanzibar are looking for enthusiastic, customer orientated team members to join our Ramp team on a Fixed-Term Contract basis.

Successful candidates will be responsible to plan and execute the following responsibilities.

• Ensure safety check of pallet stops is carried out before handling ULD’s /dollies from in and around cargo breakdown area and warehouses.
• To carry out various types of cleaning activities (interior & exterior) with proper use of materials for maintaining a high standard of hygiene and appearance according to the requirement of all operating airlines including and to carry out the special tasks for airline customers.
• Carryout transit/turnaround/ stay over cleaning with proper chemicals and materials in order to improve the appearance of the airport terminal & ramp to meet the hygiene & safety requirements of the company.
• Carryout all special services (Deep cleaning, check activities, Carpet Shampooing, Toilet Tank Cleaning, Fumigation, External washing etc..) in order to improve the appearance and upkeep of the airport terminal & ramp.
• Carryout the cleaning of oil spillage on the ramp or assigned areas as per the requirements to always ensure cleanliness.
• Disinfect the Cargo holds of aircrafts in the ramp after ascertaining the presence of live animals in order to meet the airline requirements.
• Ensure that safety and security procedures are always complied with while conducting assigned responsibilities.
• Ensure to report any hazards, injuries, ill-health or near miss to your supervisor or employer.
• Cooperate with your employer when they require something to be done for health and safety at the workplace.
• Safely and correctly load, off load and segregate dead-load according to standards and customer requirements.
• Strictly comply with all relevant company Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Airport Authority Standards and Regulatory requirements.
• Take responsibility for individual safety and security issues and perform directed health and safety activities and checks.
• Complete lavatory or water servicing ensuring all hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
• Assist breakdown staff in the loading & offloading, of cargo & mail from vehicles and ULD’s. Should have knowledge of ULD handling, breakdown and build up procedure & associated safety regulations.
• Ensure optimization of space by stacking the load in an orderly and safe manner in build-up area and bulk holds, and ensure restraints are adequate and as per the appropriate authority standards and regulations.
• Where applicable, identify suitable tow bar and provide assistance for Pushback/tow operation to ensure aircraft structure is clear from every obstruction for avoiding any ground collision with other aircraft/vehicles/equipment/facility/structure.
• Responsible for the health and safety duty of care at the workplace.
• Ensure to report any hazards, injuries, ill-health or near miss to your supervisor or employer.
• Cooperate with your employer when they require something to be done for health and safety at the workplace.

Minimum Requirements.

• Strong English Language skills
• Driving License advantageous
