Organization Overview: WWF is a global environmental conservation organization active in over 100 countries. Project Overview: WWF International leads the GBF project, focusing on accelerating the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) through Community-Led Conservation in Tanzania, alongside four other countries: Vietnam, Republic of Congo, Tunisia, and Papua New Guinea. The project aims to:
- Ensure full and effective participation of Indigenous people and local communities (IP&LCs) in developing/reviewing National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plans (NBSAPs).
- Implement and monitor conservation activities at site and landscape levels.
- Advocate for new and additional funding for biodiversity through National Biodiversity Finance Plans (NBFPs).
- Leverage and amplify experiences and lessons learned to galvanize action and advocacy for ambitious and inclusive NBSAPs and NBFPs regionally and globally.
