Position Summary

The Carrier Relations & Partnerships Manager will act as a point of contact, lead negotiator and strategist in dealing with and developing relationships with carriers, vendors & partners, including telecom operators. This entails vendor selection, contract/price negotiations, onboarding, contract and relationship management and managing, tracking and reporting vendor performance. The position will be the primary point of contact for resolution of internal and external issues associated with carriers/vendors. The position will work closely with the Company’s Business Development, Operations, Support and Finance teams, and requires a team player with good written and verbal communication and relationship building skills.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Work with the management to identify the correct strategy for extending its telecom connectivity and lead the strategy execution across the region(s)
  • Initiate and manage new and existing operator relationships, as well as local partners, and ensure all internal departments have the necessary information to interface with the carrier/vendor.
  • Build relationships by making initial contact, identifying key stakeholders, building trust with the decision makers from prospecting till operator partner onboarding
  • Maintain long-term business relationships by identifying new business requirements and opportunities
  • Learn the industry and give inputs to the Product Team on new opportunities for Enterprise Messaging, USSD, Airtime Solutions, and other mobile engagement services
  • Work with Business Development to develop and update vendor cost models and solicit and negotiate vendor quotes and delivery terms
  • Work with the technical team to set-up new connections post-agreement execution
  • Participate in relevant industry events and conferences in the area and represent Beem in the telecom market
  • Act as escalation point for any request (technical, commercial, ordering, billing, etc.) made to carriers

  • Can analyze cost variances and trends and are comfortable working with numbers
