Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for Maintenance of Machines and machine parts during off crop and crushing season.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor the vacuum pans operation to concentrate sugar liquor and grow sugar crystals to specified size.
- Able to identify 3 boiling zones in pan boiling and their effects during crystallization process.
- Make sure three boiling systems are used as per Illovo procedure in sugar manufacturing to maximize sugar recovery.
- Know exactly how to prepare quality grains(seeds) using Magma and slurry.
- Perform all Pan boiling tasks according to Kilombero Sugar’s quality, safety, health and environment policies and procedures.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on stop days and off-crop period.
- Control boiling temperature, boiling vacuum, brix and A&B molasses conditioning to optimize pan boiling and crystallization process.
- Monitor boiling cycles, able to do calculations and read graphs.
- Ensure the steam is utilized optimally.
- Ensure Accurately record of pan volume and boil pan to specified levels.
Job Requirement:
- Form IV with experience in sugar boiling A, B & C.
- Able to do calculations and read graphs.
- Completed pan boiling practical +basic fitting.
- Troubleshooting of pan.
- Ensure optimum Production rate.
- Attention to details.
Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
