Non-governmental organization (NGO) advocates for Improved Primary healthcare Service, Community rights and gender in healthy response in Tanzania.

Family Welfare Foundation (FWF) is a registered non-governmental and not for profit organization (NGO) works for enhancing women, adolescent girls and young people missing voices to accelerate evidence-based collective action for improved health care services and human rights outcomes in Tanzania. FWF envisages a quality health services, human rights and sustainable development outcomes for women, adolescent girls and young people in Tanzania.

FWF is currently financed by AmplifyChange to implement a 2 years project tittle “Space for Promoting Education, Advocacy and Knowledge on Unsafe Abortion Tanzania (SPEAK OUT) from October 2023 to April 2025 with a view to contributes in addressing unsafe abortion and its devastating consequences including teenage pregnancies, gender-based violence and child marriage for adolescent girls and young women in Tanzania.

FWF wishes to recruit qualified and experienced candidate to support implementation of this project in the following vacant position.

Position: Office Assistant

Job Purpose,

The Project office Assistant will serve as the face of the office as the first person that guests see at reception, directing them as appropriate. Support the office in all aspects regarding Human resources, operations, health and office cleaning to ensure smooth running of the office and project activities. Assist the Procurement, Finance and Logistics Manager as necessary to support office operations.

Responsibilities.

The Office Assistant will undertake the following activities:

  • Responsible for receiving all guests, vendors, packages, mail and recording and directly them to the appropriate department.
  • Support coordination of office repairs, maintenance, and office cleaning as needed.
  • Support planning of special events or meetings in support of project goals including support to identification of vendors, organizing invitations, and other tasks as needed.
    Petty Cash Custody.
  • Balance the Petty cash and generate reconciliation and expenses reports.
  • Assist in the coordination of domestic and international travel arrangements.
  • Assist the Procurement and Logistics Manager with filing project records including vendor contracts, legal and registration files, property management files, and HR records for each employee.
  • Oversee the health and safety of all employees including preparing breakfast and lunch as needed
  • Ensure accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Advanced/Ordinary diploma in business administration, in human resources or another relevant field preferred;
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an equivalent position providing support to international donor-funded projects;
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc) with excellent organization skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated experience in administration and operations, tactfulness, enthusiasm, and ability to work well as a team;
  • Fluency in Swahili and English, both written and spoken.

This position is only open to Tanzanian Nationals.
