Job Description

The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS)  is an independent government agency that was created with a specific goal of facilitate the hiring process for public service positions.  The organ was established by the Public Service Act No. 8 0f 2002 as amended by Act No. 18 of 2007, section 29(1). The goal of the organ-PSRS is to become the area’s center of excellence for public service. The goal is to recruit public servants using contemporary methods while upholding the values of merits, equity, and openness. We also aim to advise employers on employment-related issues.

Since human resources are a crucial and important component of providing public services, PSRS has been tasked with hiring public employees in a timely, fair, and transparent manner while adhering to quality standards and providing access to all candidates in order to provide equitable service in Tanzania. Our goal is to comply with our rules and regulations and improve good relations with our stakeholders while also improving government public service on matters connected to the recruitment process.
