Job Purpose
- Responsible for ENGIE Mobisol (MySol) brand development, corporate identity, communications strategy, and marketing campaigns. This includes ensuring a coherent identity in line with company values, mission, brand design, and coherent communications targeting all stakeholders, customers, employees, investors, and other partners. Accountable for the Company’s market share growth through departmental activities to drive the successful business strategy.
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of corporate identity, brand strategy, and marketing campaigns.
- Development and improvement of ENGIE Mobisol marketing policies, guidelines, and processes.
- Regular monitoring and reporting of the marketing performance and Budget planning to the Head of Commercial.
- Understanding the customer behaviors and patterns; to develop and advise the company on the right products and bundles to offer solutions in addressing market demand, while delivering excellent customer experience.
- Lead and set the Trade Marketing strategy across a portfolio of brands and customer base for sustainable and steady business health and growth.
- Lead and oversee short and long-term ENGIE Mobisol UK LTD Trade Marketing projects, promotional materials, and tactical campaigns for sales, portfolio, eNPS and Health & Safety (HSE)
- Support internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects and Commercial & Customer Finance support activities are completed to specifications and deadlines in achieving optimally the overall business goals
- Conducts trade marketing, business analysis, performance analysis, and competitive analysis weighing them against business-set targets and KPIs to determine the effectiveness of sales initiatives and implement necessary changes and solutions. Create a competitive advantage for the business to compete effectively and efficiently, through responsiveness rather than reactively.
- Product management to identify market needs through different surveys and research, recommend future product lines, product roadmap, introduce well in the marketplace, and monitor the performance trend and recommend improvements periodically
- Align any Trade Marketing activity, point of sale, and value-adding items to ensure best-in-class quality and cost-effectiveness with internal/external designers and suppliers. Where applicable, coordination of legal requirements for consumer or trade promotions in uplifting uptakes and loan repayments
- Partnering and building relationships with Commercial & Supply Chain teams across the country to support operations or National sales initiatives, including appraising new product ideas and packaging changes.
- Development, implementation, and maintaining digital sales platforms to increase sales channels
- Formulate strategies and lead digital marketing strategy to ensure ENGIE Mobisol UK LTD footprint in the digital space.
- Motivate and influence the sales team to ensure that the team stays motivated and focused to achieve their targets.
- Subordinates’ effectiveness:
- Regular review of departmental duties and skill requirements
- Ensure staff understands the context of their roles in relation to the EEA strategy
- Ensure staff in your department when performing their duties exhibit proper / acceptable behavior
- Ensure performance consequences are taken in your department i.e., recognize best performers and manager poor performers from time to time through both, formal and informal feedback
- Assess and monitor the training and development needs of the staff in the department
- Ensure staff have the resources they require to perform their work
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by Line management from time to time.

Knowledge and skills
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Marketing field
- Minimum 2-3 years of marketing Leadership experience
- Experience in Budget Management, Performance, and Team Management.
- Academic background or related qualification in trade, marketing, media, design, business or related discipline
- Proven track record of management experience within the inter-divisional context of trade marketing or Business development departments
- Experience in international renewable energy/ solar off-grid public relations
- Work experience with African stakeholders
- Thorough knowledge of trade marketing principles, brand, product, and service management
- Deep understanding of trade marketing dynamics in East Africa
- Strong leadership skills and initiative team player
- Ability to identify priorities and to meet targets
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Willingness to travel
Qualifications:
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, public relations or any other business-related degree.
- A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
Language(s):
- Fluency in Swahili and English languages with excellent verbal communications skills.
Technology:
- Experience in using Microsoft applications, computer, design tools and smartphone literate.
