Job Description
The successful candidate will partner with the operations team to drive operational excellence across the business by coordinating the management of planning & scheduling across operations for normal, abnormal & capital activities for both seasons and off crop.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the management of planning & scheduling across operations for normal, and abnormal & capital activities for both seasons and off crop.
- Ensure standardized ways of work, systems and processes and technical compliance.
- Accountable to ensure all asset master data accuracy and enable decision-making and optimal maintenance strategy.
- Ensure compliance to work planning & control processes & systems.
- Manage delivery of integrated off crop planning calendar on time, in full and as per integrated Illovo Off crop standard.
- Support effective execution of off crop plan monitoring progress and providing information to manage and mitigate risks and adapt as required.
- Provide input into maintenance budget development and ensure maintenance plans align to budget.
- Enable and ensure effective maintenance execution through efficient maintenance planning.
- Ensure that the CMMS System and CBM System are clearly understood, controlled, and maintained, to consistently create awareness and motivate the benefits to all staff.
- Keeping with the overall objectives of the Company by ensuring the application of the Codes of Practice SABS ISO 9002, NOSA and identifying the quality training needs and the write up of procedures to continually improve the benefits of the CMMS system.
- Support the implementation of the “Illovo Way of Maintenance” (iAMP) to ensure Illovo is the best-in-class sugar & downstream producer.
- Hold teams accountable to the highest standards of maintenance, ensuring compliance to minimum operating standards.
- Identify L&D needs within the team and manage training through business partnership.
- Optimize maintenance performance, by holding planning department accountable to achieve the highest standards of efficiencies, quality, and agreed/required standards of planning & scheduling.
- Ensure adoption and embedding of best practices as guided by the Optimization Head
- Promote cross-functional and stakeholder engagement & teamwork.
- Model Leadership behaviors, collaborating, partnering and communicating effectively within and between teams and support functions.
- Promote a culture of consistently assessing risks and driving continuous improvement throughout operations.
- Adhere to and promote SHERQ & Food Safety standards.
- Provide operations wide view of work and resource requirements for in season and off crop that allows for the cost of implementation to be visible. Scoping and reprioritization where required.
- Integrate and coordinate section resource requirements for the season and off crop to optimize resource-leveling across the operation.
Job Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 5 years’ experience in maintenance and/or maintenance planning
- Strong organizing skills
- Good communication skills
Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
