About the Role:
Employment Type: Contract
In this role, the successful applicant will conduct laboratory tests and analyses to support the quality control and production processes at the site. They will be responsible for collecting and preparing samples, performing routine and specialized tests, and accurately documenting results to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment effectively, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested
Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report
Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results
Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results
Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment
Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs
Maintain Data per company standards
Utilizes Good laboratory practices and ensures work is complete to required standard.
Follow all HSE protocols of the laboratory as a whole.
Key Requirements:
Holder of FTC in Laboratory, Diploma or degree in Chemist/Analyst related field in science from known college in the country
2 years working experience in laboratory is an added advantage.
Good communication skills (English and KiSwahili),
Driving License is an added advantage.
