Overview
The Intern Learning and Research will be reporting to the Advisor Program Learning and Research. Assist in Research and Learning implementation including coordination of IRB applications and studies field implementation activities.
After completion of the internship, the Intern will be knowledgeable on Research Guidelines, IRB application processes and logistics for implementation research in Tanzania. S/he will also be equipped with IRB application systems, Research conduct, research reporting and filling systems of research documents as per Regulatory Binders systems. This Internship Program will be based in Mwanza Region.
This position will be closed on April 26, 2024
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare IRB application packages for NIMR and JHU IRB.
- Establish studies regulatory binders and update with study documents
- Assist with development and translation of study documents.
- Assist with development of Scope of work and budgets for the study activities
- In collaboration of regional leads, assist in communication with RHMT/ CHMTs for field logistics.
- Assist the study PI with coordination of data analysis.
- Assist with studies report writing
- Support other program duties as assigned including logistics, activity reports etc. in field level program management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in medical field/social science is required. A master’s degree in public health,
- Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Research, Implementation Science or other related fieldsis an added advantage.
- Must be a self-directed individual who has multi-tasking abilities.
- Fluent in English and Kiswahili both written and spoken.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, excel and power point.
- Good analytical and report- writing skills
- Self-motivated, proactive and have a positive attitude to work requiring minimum supervision.
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork
