Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Leadership role in overseeing daily business operations and professional approaches towards the managing of the hotel.
  • Strong operational fundamentals and overseeing of all areas (Villa’s, rooms, river beach, river decks and laundry house were completely lacking supervision).
  • Close supervision in F&B, Guest relations, Reception, Rooms/ Villa’s, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Administration and staff well being/ their housing/ staff menu.
  • Hands on in all departments ensuring the smooth running of the entire operation.
  • Set clear guidelines per working area, create hotel manuals
  • Create projections, forcasts, budgets, monthly financial evaluations and set financial targets.
  • Setting up, maintaining and managing hotel operations systems
  • Being the first host to all guests of the hotel and have highest guest satisfaction rates
  • Flexible working hours including F&B management and supervision (early mornings, late evenings on shifts with the OPM and F&B manager) Weekends hand on (free day shall be during the week days)
  • Developing and implementing growth strategies in Sales & Marketing
  • Reducing costs of the kitchen and expenses in general
  • Generating monthly reports and presenting to the owners.
  • Direct daily supervision of the Operational Manager, the HOD’s, the Chef/ kitchen, the Accountant, the Reservationist, and the Receptionists.
  • Strong finance control, theft control, creating profitability plans, set targets and monthly financial reports to the owners.
  • Implementation of proper service and etiquettes and staff development and trainings and being close to staff.
  • Daily operation of the F&B POS, Hotel PMS- Ezee reservations system, booking.com, Expedia, GM email, Info email, Marketing email and the back booking engine of the website.
  • Stock control, purchase and order (together with the stock taker and accountant).
  • Kitchen management (until head chef is recruited)- consistency in the menu, purchase, orders, receiving, stock, theft control, hygiene control, store organization, date labeling supervision and prep supervision.

Requirements

  • Certificate in Hotel Management is preferable or any related field
  • At least 10 years experience in Hotel Management
