Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank Limited (TADB) is a Government Institution established under the Companies Act, 2002 and licensed under the provisions of the Banking and Financial Institutions Act No 5 of 2006 and the Banking and Financial Institutions (Development Finance)
Overview
Reporting to the Zonal Manager, the driver will be responsible in providing reliable and safe driving service to staff, transporting goods and assisting with all transport related logistics. The driver will also be responsible to oversee the vehicle is maintained in a cost-effective manner by overseeing routine and preventive maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To drive all types of vehicles
- To oversee maintenance of the vehicle assigned to him/her
- To detect any vehicle defects and promptly report to Zonal Manager
- To ensure services are done after every 5000 kilometers
- To keep vehicle in good condition including keeping it always clean and tidy
- To ensure that all accessories are in good condition and standby or immediate use at any time.
- To ensure that vehicle is used for authorized purposes and time only
- To ensure that vehicle is parked to authorized place after working hours
- To keep log-book sheets updated in connection with vehicle movements
- To perform any other duties assigned by one’s reporting officer

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Form IV and Valid Class C driving certification and clean driving record and/or VETA VIP driving and able to demonstrate safe driving practices
- Experience of working with government partners and ministries
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Good knowledge of the local language and very good command of written and spoken English
- Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of safe driving experience is required.
- Experience and skills in minor vehicle repairs, and routine maintenance for the vehicles, will be an added advantage.
