The key purpose of this role to is to drive a consistent Service Level by ensuring superior Customer/POC execution of the Delivery Process while executing our competition strategy responsibly. Grow profitability by exploiting delivery mode opportunities and other productivity outputs in line with DPO/VPO standards. 

 

Key outputs and responsibilities:

Delivery Productivity & Execution Management

  • In trade coaching with errant offenders on Bottle Loss, MBFU, Refusals, OOS to ensure optimal Service Levels

  • Ensuring that delivery modes share is adhered and continually look for opportunities to pursue cheaper modes

  • Master Data verified for accuracy & standards verification

  • Carry out 3PL and Own Driver load execution and verification

  • Adherence to market visit plan, conduct, coordinate and train drivers in meetings ensuring adherence to SOPs and OWDs done to open the gap where necessary

  • Ensure adherence to MCRS routines in line with the DPO SCL standards

  • Adherence to DPO/VPO Pillars and Means Requirements to drive KPI and PI results

  • Adherence to Financial Controls and Budget setting support

  • Continuous improvement through tracking, measuring and reporting on KPI/PI’s through the use of problem-solving tools & mindset

  • SLAs established and managed with key stakeholders

Financial Controls

  • Manage Tier 2 financial performance and execution against the budget and ensure alignment with Variable Logistics Costs

  • Ensure Latest Estimate is calculated with plans to recover on deviations – Variable Logistics Performance achieved

Quality Management

  • Ensure Quality is clear in the Route Delivery Execution Process and people know and follow it

  • Ensure all employees understand the customer complaint process

  • Ensure that the driver base is trained and equipped to identify quality related issues and understands correct handling methodology to minimise issues

 

Safety as Priority

  • Ensure Safe Operating practices in line with our Safety Culture

  • Maintain Safe work and delivery environments

Profile:

  • Relevant 3-year tertiary degree/diploma, preferably in Supply Chain and or Logistics

  • 4 years’ experience in a customer service role within an FMCG Supply Chain and or Logistics

  • Valid Code 08 Driver’s License

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • SAP/Syspro experience will be preferred

  • Knowledge of customer service principles

  • Demonstrates reliability

  • Good interpersonal skills / builds good relationships

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Verbal ability and communication skills

  • Excellent self-management and planning skills

  • Strong achievement orientation
