The Role:
As Service Technician you are responsible for carrying out servicing and maintenance on customer’s machines. Therefore, you effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment and maintain and test Instruments, to ensure they remain in good condition. To do so, you always apply good standards of engineering practice. As first contact of our customers you not only order spare parts for service orders to maximize the commission of new equipment but also train our customers as well as Atlas Copco personnel as required, in the general operations of their machines.
To do your job as required you plan and organize your daily and weekly visit schedules and attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills. You will beware of, and apply, Health and Safety regulations in the workshop and on site and promote the Atlas Copco Compressor company image.
What we expect of you?
• Deep knowledge in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering with a minimum of 3 years work experience.
• Experience of working with Compressors as well as previous Service Engineer Experience.
• Business development for Tanzania region, promoting CTS products and support equipment team to generate leads.
• Train our customers as well as distributor service team.
• Self-driven and a clear focus on high quality. Competent, reliable, and determined.
• Empathetic communicator, ability to get on with others and be a team player.
• Have an understanding and an ability to use technical/professional knowledge and information.
• Ability to promote, develop and maintain a culture conducive to quality throughout the organization and to improve its performance.
• Work independently for daily service work, such as project startup, installation, regular maintenance and customer’s training etc;
• Be responsible for customer’s call back, technical support and problem solving.
• Regular customer visiting to find out their demands and service business opportunity during service trip.
• Cooperate and assist service sales in quotation / service contract preparation process.
• Working closely with sales team & project team to ensure the customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical and quality feedback to the Supervisor according to customer’s feedback.
• Works closely with service sales & project team to meet customer’s needs during commissioning and implementation of projects.
• Provide technical feedback to the project management according to customer’s feedback.
• Timely and correctly feedback work order, weekly report, and monthly report.
Qualifications
• Diploma in Mechanical engineering/Electrical or mechatronics.
• 3-5 years’ experience in service of compressors.
• PC skills (Ms Office), skills in using CRM.
• Good English skill in reading & written and spoken is required, Swahili added advantage.
• Valid Passport.
• Driving License.
