Job Description
Join TUI BLUE Hotels as Credit Controller where you will supervise and oversee the accounts receivable, credit, bill collection and all related areas. It’s the main responsible to manage the credit department in a smooth and efficient way and in compliance with all policies.
This role is based at our TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar, Tanzania
ABOUT THE JOB
- Verify credit application forms of new customers to establish credit worthiness of the company.
- Establish credit limits and send letters to the customer either accepting or rejecting the customer’s application.
- Coordinate with Sales, F&B catering and Entertainment and other departments involved in the MICE functions to ensure all the downpayments and credits are collected in a timely manner before and after the event.
- Review credit check report and high balance report.
- Send statement of accounts to all credit customers on the stipulated notice of time.
- Ensure that all outstanding credit should be followed up to ensure receipt of all amounts due.
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and bad debt approvals.
- Other tasks related to the accounting department that may arise during the operation and expansion process of the company.
ABOUT YOU
- You should have a degree in hotel management or accounting and at least two years previous experiences within a hotel environment.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and computer literacy is a must, while knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM and SUN System an asset.
- You will be results oriented, self-motivated and with a positive attitude.
- You have the ability to think laterally and have strong social skills and a presence, enabling you to interact and deal with customers effectively.
- You will portray a fair leadership style and be easy approachable for employees while understanding the hotel operations and future planning for the business with a customer and results driven mindset.
