Position CLINKERIZATION SUPERINTENDENT

As assigned by Supervisor
Reports To QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
Specific Knowledge
Minimum of (4) four years of hands-on experience in the cement industry, particularly in the clinker production process. This includes familiarity with kiln operations, quality control,leadership skills and safety protocols.

Main Duties
– Maintain good laboratory practices and OSHA compliance.
– Ensure test results’ accuracy using control samples before equipment use.
– Monitor automatic samplers in the post-clinkering area and maintain records.
– Direct off-spec clinker to appropriate locations and ensure correct clinker quality for allcement types.
– Testing and Analysis; Follow up on test results for physical properties and suggest adjustments for L.O.L, SO3, and fineness.
– SO3 Optimization; Conduct SO3 optimization trials and maintain records.
– Grinding Aid Testing; Test and record cement grinding aid quality for each consignment.
– Test daily composite cement for particle distribution and support testing in cement mills.
– Input Analysis; XRF analyze and moisture test inputs to cement mills, maintaining records.
– Adhere to compliance policies, maintain records of tests and trials, and liaise with the environmental department for chemical disposal.
– Adhere to the HC Group Code of Business Conduct and Compliance Policies
– Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Minimum Requirements (Qualifications)
– Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory, Chemical and Process Engineering, or a related field,ERB registration is an added advantage.
– Proficiency in utilizing computing tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
– Thorough understanding of clinker production processes, kiln systems, and related equipment. Knowledge of industry standards, environmental regulations, and best practices in production efficiency and quality control
– Proficiency in leadership skills.
