Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for High Growth SME recruitment across Tanzania and East Africa. Targeting SMEs with annual turnover of TSH.500M and above.
- Scout and create active database of SMEs and Startups that are seeking for growth capital
- Support SMEs and Startups in investment documentation and evaluation- such as SME investment readiness assessment, create business description, team profiling, pitch deck development, legal documentation, initial financial modelling and review of their dataroom.
- Develop new entrepreneurship programmes, lead fundraising and programme management.
- Lead business development initiatives to expand the client base and market presence.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with SMEs and Startups, understanding their needs and providing tailored financial solutions.
- Coordinate internal business portfolios activities, creating a central dashboard to visualize business and financial data of each portfolio company.
- Lead existing entrepreneurship programmes, managing entire programmes activities at the operational level.
Requirements
Requirements
- Atleast 3+ years of proven experience in banking or microfinance, specifically in SME financing.
- Strong understanding of credit processes, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in business evaluation and investment assessment
- Good knowledge of financial modelling will be a strong added advantage
- Passion for innovation and scaling business operations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Swahili.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams towards achieving targets.
Duty station: Ready to work 20% in Dar Es Salaam, 20% scouting for SMEs and Startups across Tanzania and beyond, 60% in Mwanza office
