Jordan University College (JUCo) is one of Tanzania’s unique and fast-growing universities. It aims to be a self-sustaining Centre of Excellence in higher education. JUCo is seeking highly qualified and competent personnel to fill the following vacancy:

 

Assistant Librarian

 

Number of Positions: 1

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine professional and supervisory duties.
  • Administer library records and references.
  • Undertake bibliographical services.
  • Head subsections within the library.
  • Manage routine ordering and processing of books.
  • Assist Heads of Sections in ensuring the smooth operation of the library and information services provided by library assistants.
  • Ensure the safekeeping of tools, machines, and equipment entrusted for library services.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting officer.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Library/Records/Information Sciences from a recognized institution.
Experience: At least two years of experience in a similar position.
