The role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented, aggressive and market driven individual to develop and increase company revenue by identifying profitable new business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies in Tanzania.

The key responsibilities of the right candidate will include:

  • Coordination of Agri & Food sales activities within Tanzania Republic
  • Development and deployment of new Agri & Food services in Tanzania
  • Meeting own sales targets
  • Coordinate Agri & Food sales effort with team members and other departments/units.
  • Ensure cross selling activities are well captured while promoting individual focus on the assigned main Agri & Food Sales.
  • Organizing regular weekly Laboratory sales meetings with team, evaluate results and develop action plan to mitigate gaps/variances/target shortfalls.
  • Developing weekly sales plans along with team members and track implementation.
  • Compiling weekly sales reports for review with Tanzania Sales and Marketing Leader & Agri, Food & Trade Manager
  • Foster Teamwork, optimise Laboratory sales processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure consistence application of all relevant policies and procedures in Agri & Food Sales Process.
  • Ensure consistent tracking of potential or advertised Agri & Food tenders and support preparation of responses.
  • Make sales presentations and technical product demonstrations directly to key decision makers and end users, accountable for reports may including feedback regarding new business opportunities, market intelligence and other sales development issues as requested..

  • Age: above 25 years with 3 years working experience.
  • Experience:2 years services sales experience preferably in TIC.
  • Qualification: Agri & Food related disciplines (Horticulture, Food Science, Analytical Chemistry; Biochemistry; Agriculture; Agricultural Engineering; Agronomy; Fisheries) Diploma/ Higher Diploma/ Bachelors Degree
  • Good language skills
  • Good customer relationship management,
  • Understanding of Tanzania legislation, regulations, requirements, and reference sources, market testing needs, standards, certification; Agrifarm inspections; GlobalGap; RFA; testing protocols, ISO 17025, ISO 17020, ISO 17065, ISO 17021
