Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including local, regional, and international laws.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and advise management on necessary actions.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely payment of taxes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters.
• Identify and address potential compliance risks within the organization.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on compliance.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of the logistics industry is a plus
